As a leader in Early Childhood Education the Early Learning Centre offers Child Care and After School programs as well as community programs for families. Located in the South-end of Saint John within Saint John the Baptist-King Edward School, we are a hub for children, youth and families to gather and grow together. Our programming is designed to allow everyone the opportunity to reach their full potential.  

Besides being a leader in Child Care and After School programs, the Early Learning Centre offers evening and Saturday programming for families.  The Early Learning Centre also has a Sensory room which is a  specifically designed to deliver stimuli to various senses, using lighting effects, color, sounds, music, scents, etc. The combination of different materials on a wall may be explored using tactile senses, and the floor may be adjusted to stimulate the sense of balance. Located in the Southend of Saint John, the Early Learning Centre is a hub for children, youth and families to gather and grow together. Our programming is designed to allow everyone the opportunity to reach their full potential.

    Early Learning Centre Child Care

    At our 43-space program, we provide child care and education to children aged 1-5.  Using our nationally accredited play-based program and the NB Curriculum, we provide a safe and fun place to play and learn while your child grows to meet developmental targets. Our highly trained educators focus on providing opportunities for your child to engage socially, emotionally and academically with safety at the top of the list.  Come in for a tour today!

    After School Program

    Our afterschool program provides a seamless transition from your child’s school day to a place to socialize with friends and continue learning while engaged in play with their peers and educators.  Some of the popular interests are cooking, science experiments, outdoor play, community awareness, gym time, art and computer lab.

  • Community Programs

    Many free programs and services are available to support families in our community.  They include Pre-K to prepare your child for a successful start to school; parenting workshops to provide information to parents and caregivers on a variety of topics; nutrition and health activities and drop-in programs throughout the city.  Check out our menu of programs for dates, times and locations.  Many of our programs are delivered in partnership with community organizations.  Please call to register or for more information.
