The YMCA of Greater Saint John has temporarily closed our fitness facilities as of January 20, 2021, following the government announcement that Zone 2 (Saint John) is among the regions that has transitioned to the Red Phase of the GNB COVID-19 Recovery Plan. This includes the Saint John Regional Y and the Irving Oil Field House with the exception of their Child Care wings, which provide essential services.
Your Y Membership
- All memberships and payments will be placed on hold and we will not be accepting or processing any cancellations or extending holds while we are closed.
- As soon as we return to Orange or Yellow Phase, all memberships will be automatically removed from hold and your regular payment schedule restarted immediately. If your situation changes, please feel free to reach out to our membership team once we have reopened.
- All members will continue to have free access to the Online Member Portal. If you have not already done so, please visit the link on our website to register for your custom login for exclusive access.
There is also the option to give back to your community during this time by supporting the Y’s Strong Communities Campaign. If you would like to donate your membership fee during this phase, please email email@example.com. Your gift will ensure that all thousands of children, youth, adults, and families have access to Y programs.

Child Care & After School Programs
Child Care and After School programs are essential services and will remain open in the Red Phase. If parents decide to keep children home, they will still be required to continue to pay to hold their spot.
All language and employment programs will only be held virtually. All other services, including client meetings, will be virtually as well.
