Learn to Nordic Walk | December 2, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Nordic walking is one of the fastest-growing activities to promote health and wellbeing for a lifetime. Nordic Walking offers something for everyone, it can be used for a gentle walk to increase regular activity and keep limber and it can also be a very athletic activity to promote high-level fitness similar to running or cycling.

This introductory course will give you a good understanding of the proper mechanics of using Nordic walking poles to activate muscles of both the lower body and the upper body. This total-body activity helps with developing cardiovascular fitness but also has been shown to increase upper body strength and protect against osteoporosis.

Our instructor, Daryl Steeves, is a Certified Nordic Walking Instructor and has over 15 years of experience in Nordic walking.
