Newcomer Connections | Pathways to Employment: Business Writing
This workshop will help participants develop business-writing skills. They will learn the language, style, and etiquette of writing emails as well as letters for different purposes related to business.
Newcomer Connections | SSELT: Factory Safety
UNBSJ Annex Building 100 Tucker Park Road, Saint John, New Brunswick, CanadaLearn and practice language for working safely in a factory, including safety policies and procedures, personal protective equipment, and tools. You will also learn and practice employment standards, like filling in timesheets, reading schedules and pay stubs, asking for time off, and applying for jobs. The program runs from October 4 to November 26. As a bonus, you will also receive WHMIS, First Aid, and CPR training.

This program is open to permanent & non-permanent residents. The program runs from October 4 to December 18.

This information session will look at the Canadian cultural differences at the workplace and communication with your boss. This online information session will be in English only and there will be two sessions: one at 10:00 AM and the second at 1:00 PM.
